Welcome to the National Standards Code of Kaldus. Kaldus is a completely fictional What if scenario of what if I had my own country. This project is so large, it requires 2 domains which is what I done. Kaldus.org is strictly for the National Standards Code where kaldus.com is what would happen if I had my own country. In every sub-domain of Kaldus will have NSC requirements and a link to a sub-domain in this domain. The goal will be to make sense with the sub-domains.
There are a few things to consider. First, the telephone numbers (if noted) will start with +883. This was the defunct iNum international country code. I have chosen this for a very distinct reason, and that is all +883 numbers will have support for SIP communications. Also, all domains noted within Kaldus will end in .ka which will be the country code of said fictional country. The demonym will be Kaldan. Currency will use the Kaldan Dollar, and poverty will be $1,300. All money noted in throughout the sites will be assumed to be in Kaldan dollars. The official language will be English, and there will be a difference between essentials and non-essentials with essentials having price control to make the resource as affordable as possible.
Since Kaldus will be a monarchy as it would make no sense to have my fictional country if I can just be voted out in a few years. With that said, I will pass down the normal activity of day to day government down to a Senate. The nation will be divided into counties, and each county will have 2 senators. There will be a push for future efficiency that will rival or surpass even the most forward thinking of countries. There will be a real minimum wage, and single payer health care for citizens. More information can be found in other sub-domains in this domain.
For measurements, most will use the global standard metric system. There will be a couple of exceptions with consumer electronics, and postage rates, but for most other things – metric will just simply work better, and make more sense. For example, you might see a 6″ (6 inch) screen rather than the equivalent in centimeters. Ounces actually makes the postal rates more affordable, and who wouldn’t want more affordable?
